Jean-Didier Sicault<\/strong>\u00a0 is a Member of the Paris Bar, former Legal Counsel of ACCT (ancestor of the International Organization of the French Speaking World). <\/p>\n\n\n\n

He advises, negotiates in favour of, and litigates on behalf of, staff members, as well as staff representative bodies (associations, unions and federations) of some 90 International Organisations. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In that framework, he has\nbrought cases before 15 International Administrative Tribunals, in particular\nthose of the UN (dozens of cases), the ILO (hundreds of cases), the Coordinated\nOrganizations (dozens of cases) and some of the International Financial\nInstitutions, for the benefit of staff. He has notably devised and implemented\nFICSA\u2019s Legal Defence Strategy which gave rise, at the end the 80\u2019s, to more\nthan 30 judgments of UNAT and ILOAT, notably on acquired rights. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

He also assists officials\nfor internal remedies (request for review and procedure before the JABs or\nDisciplinary Boards). <\/p>\n\n\n\n

He also advises the\nmanagement of some international organizations, notably on their relations with\nhost States, their privileges and immunities or on issues relating to\ninternational civil service law (notably pensions, salaries, investigations,\ndiscipline, and acquired rights). <\/p>\n\n\n\n

A senior lecturer in international civil service law at the University of Paris II since 1983, he has written numerous contributions and participated in many symposiums on the subject.
